Currently, they are at Pringle Home in Carron Hall refurbishing the young girl’s dorm with fresh tile in the bathrooms, new fixtures, repaired windows, and a bright coat of paint throughout the sleeping area. Projects at the Bromley and Belfield schools have seen trees felled and fans installed. Funding to help our own staff with some personal home repair and building another virtual house build is already lined up moving forward. We would love to build even more!

Watch this video here and see how the projects at Pringle are coming along and learn how you can help with the next phase!

Dear Friends!

One thing we know for sure, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8), but everything else seems to be changing! How does our mission of “bringing people closer to Christ through short term missions” adapt to a reality of limited travel and restricted personal contact?

Normally teams would have filled the calendar with trips over spring break through the summer and into the fall. Ministry has looked incredibly different but God has been so faithful blessing so many in unexpected ways! It was exciting to see our first virtual house, funded by Delphi UMC, being built by our Jamaican staff. Watch online here:

Sharing devotions by Zoom allowed the Delphi team to interact with the Jamaica team as recorded interviews with the recipient family, pictures of the build and testimonies from our staff went back and forth daily. The house dedication was moving as a Jamaican pastor blessed the house and our CSI construction coordinator, Patrick handed over the keys to the new homeowners (Andreen Spence – Edwards and Andrae Edwards with their seven children).

With the virtual build and other projects in the works we have been able to keep our Jamaican staff employed and active.

And, with the faithful support of many of you, we have been able to keep the Jamaica Student Support program fully funded and we are set for the start of school backpack give away happening now!

Belize is slowly opening. We do expect teams to travel in December continuing work at the Stella Maris School for special needs children and Unity School in the Burial Grounds district near Belize City. Some new partners for medical groups, work, and ministry are promising and hopefully, we will be back serving together soon.

A special thanks to volunteers Pete & Ladeana Jones along with Doug Turanchick who have been staying in the CSI Jamaica mission house. They are helping guide the CSI staff through the projects, virtual builds, and more!

We firmly believe in the conviction and power of prayer. Please pray specifically for staff and partners in Jamaica, Belize, and the U.S. Pray that God will prompt the ideal people to be full-time missionaries for CSI. Pray for Bob and Rebecca Weaver, missionaries to Belize, who are underway speaking and fundraising. If your church or small group would like to have them visit, let us know. Join us every other Friday at 11:00 AM at Cross America to pray for CSI and all the requests we receive.

In our North America Ministries, we have been actively communicating and encouraging our partners. Many of them are caring for children in residential settings working through quarantines, homeschooling, and stretched nerves! With your assistance, we were able to buy 9-hole Frisbee Golf equipment for Shiloh Christian Children’s Ranch!  We are excited about the opportunity to visit in 2021 and see this in action. A dedicated team was able to travel to Mountain Mission School in Grundy, VA installing blinds throughout the school. Shown in the photo to the left is a 22-foot shower trailer with a washer and dryer we delivered to the Lend A Hand Center in Walker, KY. Two open teams are being recruited now for a trip in August for a refurbishing project at Lend A Hand.

Join us Saturday, September 19, 2020, at 6:00 pm for our Annual Gathering!
