This June, CSI is forming a team to help pastors in the Chiquimula area of Guatemala whose homes were damage by hurricanes.
A bit over a year and a half ago two Category 4 hurricanes blew through this area causing widespread damage to homes, churches, business and infrastructure. The local churches led by the pastors worked tirelessly helping the communities recover. But several pastors themselves still do not have their own homes repaired. Pastor Ramirez and his family’s home flooded after a levee broke in the Morales district leaving 3 feet of mud over their whole property. We would love to rebuild helping them settle into a safe and clean home!
We need people to join the team! We will be hosted by the local church in village of Sioux as we work on the Ramirez family home. Flying in and out of Guatemala City we will have some time to see the beautiful mountain region, worship with some passionate believers hearing their vision to impact their communities. We also will visit the site of the newly drilled well to which many of you contributed located in the impoverished area of Taco.
If you would like to give toward the building materials for the Ramirez family home designate your gifts to “Guatemala Projects”. Our goal is to raise $6,000. Contact john Key at firstname.lastname@example.org or 765-661-4034 for more details.
